Seed Survivor by Nutrient visited HMS Elementary last week. They educated students about plants and the importance of agriculture. Students learned about the 3 main fertilizers, phosphate being one of them. Phosphate is derived from mined sedimentary rock composed of prehistoric fossilized marine animal remains. Multiple exploration and hands-on centers were available. One of them is prehistoric fossilized marine animal remains, including a shark tooth! Inside the trailer were multiple learning games, allowing them to learn more about plants, soil, and nutrients. They even went home with planted sunflower seeds, done by themselves!
