HMS FLBA is selling Tiefenthaler Brats and Pella Nursery Pies from February 13th through the 24th, with delivery around March 16th. Here are the final results and some pictures from Boys 1A District Bowling yesterday. The HMS Boys Bowling Team is 1 of 8 1A teams to qualify for the 2023 State Bowling Tournament!!! Jack Mastbergen also qualified for the 2023 State Bowling Tournament as an individual!!! Congratulations to these athletes, coaches, supporters, and the HMS Bowling Team!!! Today the HMS Boys Bowling Team is competing in districts at Locomotion Lanes and compete they did!!!! We are happy to report the HMS BOYS BOWLING TEAM will be GOING TO STATE as a TEAM!!! The team took first place in the district after bowling 15 baker games. They will be bowling this afternoon for individual honors. GO HAWKS!!! WAY TO REPRESENT HMS!!!

HMS and Locomotion Lanes were selected by the IHSAA and the IGHSAU to host Class 1A district bowling both today and tomorrow. The HMS Girls Bowling team is in competition right now to see who the state qualifiers will be from our district. The boys bowl tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Good Luck HMS Bowlers!!! Congrats to Noah Strantz on winning the Siouxland Conference championship at 160lbs today!!
4 others finished as Runner up: Dylan Jones 120lbs, Bryce Dodge 152lbs, Nathaniel Franklin 170lbs, and Sam Pas 220lbs.
As a team Okoboji-HMS finished in 4th place in a very tight team race!
Now it is on to districts next Saturday in Estherville for a chance to earn a trip to the State tournament. Let’s pack the house!💪🏅

There will be a Free Will Donation Meal served on Friday night during the basketball games here at HMS to benefit the Decker family. All and any support is appreciated!
This Friday Annika Overmire, Lillian Van Loon, and Mr. Yenzer will be traveling to Iowa State University so they can rehearse and then perform with students across the state in an honor band.
There were 500 nominations sent to ISU for the honor band and they had to narrow it down to about 200 students for two ensembles. Please congratulate these students for being a part of the 200 who were accepted! Way to represent HMS!!!


This past weekend, our HMS Science Club participated in the U.S. Department of Energy - National Science Bowl competition at Iowa State University in Ames. This year our team consisted of 5 Senior students. The team advanced into the semifinals before being defeated. Nice Job! Way to represent HMS!!!

Eleven students from HMS performed at the district speech contest in Spencer on Saturday, January 21. Our entries were "The Story of the Phantom" from Goosebumps the Musical in the Musical Theater Category (rated II) and "The Happy Accident" in the Reader's Theater Category (Rated II). Our students represented the district well. Mr. Fisher is proud of their work and appreciates the time and effort invested in the performance.
Friday morning was a blast! We had the cheerleaders with us to welcome the students to school. It was a great morning!
